Soccer Recap: Middletown Takes a Loss

Middletown lost against Shaker back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Middie Bears took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bison. While losing is never fun, Middletown can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York soccer rankings (they are ranked 139th, while Shaker are ranked 14th).

Middletown has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season. As for Shaker, their win bumped their record up to 6-0.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Middletown will welcome Chester at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Shaker, they will challenge Schenectady at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday.
