Soccer Game Preview: Benedictine vs. Catholic + Official Tickets

Benedictine is on a four-game streak of home wins, while Catholic is on a three-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Cadets will host the Crusaders at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. Benedictine is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3 goals per game this season.

Benedictine is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Virginia's top teams: Saint John Paul the Great Catholic, who was ranked 24th at the time (Benedictine was ranked fourth). The Cadets put the hurt on Wolves with a sharp 8-1 victory on Saturday. Harrison Efford was a massive factor in the win as he booted in four goals all by himself.

Meanwhile, Catholic unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-match winning streak on Friday. They came up short against Norfolk Academy, falling 4-0.

Catholic now has a losing record of 10-11-3. As for Benedictine, their win bumped their record up to 11-3-1.

Benedictine was able to grind out a solid victory over Catholic when the teams last played on October 1st, winning 2-0. Will the Cadets repeat their success, or do the Crusaders have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
