Basketball Game Preview: Christ Chapel Academy vs. Trinity Christian Gryphons

Christ Chapel Academy are taking a road trip to challenge the Trinity Christian Gryphons at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Friday, Christ Chapel Academy earned a 54-47 win over Covenant Christian Academy. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Christ Chapel Academy.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Trinity Christian, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. They walked away with a 44-35 victory over Washington Latin Public Charter School on Friday. The win was all the more spectacular given the Gryphons' disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 242nd in Virginia, while the Lions are ranked 37th in District of Columbia).

Christ Chapel Academy has also been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 6-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.5 points per game. As for Trinity Christian, their record is now 6-3.

Christ Chapel Academy came up short against Trinity Christian in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, falling 50-41. Can Christ Chapel Academy avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
