It may have taken nine innings to finish the job, but Eisenhower ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Nimitz Cougars 6-5. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Eagles as it put an end to their nine-game losing streak.

The team relied heavily on Alex Arredondo, who went 2-for-5 with three stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Manny Arredondo, who went 3-for-4 with two runs.

Eisenhower's win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-8 and their overall record up to 7-17. As for Nimitz, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-14.

Eisenhower will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Cougars: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
