Football Recap: Hamilton Takes a Loss

Hamilton lost against West Catholic back in October of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Hawkeyes fell 34-21 to the Falcons. While losing is never fun, the Hawkeyes can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan football rankings (they are ranked 184th, while the Falcons are ranked 27th).

Grady Augustyn was a one-man wrecking crew For West Catholic. as he threw for 418 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 15.5 yards per attempt.

Hamilton's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for West Catholic, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-1.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Hamilton is set to face off against their familiar foe Wayland at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, West Catholic will take on rival Spring Lake at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
