Basketball Recap: Cedar Ridge Comes Up Short

Cedar Ridge was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 58-46 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Warren Warriors. The Raiders were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Warriors apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2021.

Despite the defeat, Cedar Ridge saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Zaccai Williams posted six points and 12 boards. Those 12 rebounds set a new season-high mark for Williams. Another player making a difference was Bryson Batton, who scored 19 points.

Cedar Ridge's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Warren, the win got them back to even at 3-3.

Cedar Ridge wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 49-47 victory against Pflugerville on the 25th. As for Warren, they have also already played their next game, a 56-40 defeat against Madison on the 25th.
