Basketball Recap: Skidmore-Tynan Bobcats vs. Kenedy Lions
Skidmore-Tynan was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss dating back to last season. They took a blow against the Kenedy Lions, falling 70-42. The Bobcats were probably out for revenge after losing 58-50 to them when the teams met back in February of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.
Kenedy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Logan Hill led the charge by dropping a double-double on 14 points and ten boards. Hill is also on a roll when it comes to blocks, as he's now posted two or more in the last three games he's played. DJ Williams was another key player, dropping a double-double on 18 points and 11 rebounds.
Skidmore-Tynan's defeat dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Kenedy, they moved to 5-15 with that victory, which also ended their six-game losing streak.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Skidmore-Tynan will head out to square off against Port Aransas at 7:45 p.m. on January 10th. As for Kenedy, they will venture away from home to take on Pettus at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
