Columbia is a perfect 4-0 against Albany since September of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Blue Devils will head out on the road to face off against the Falcons at 5:30 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Columbia heads in on the heels of a playoff game on Friday. They fell just short of Queensbury by a score of 16-13. The Blue Devils have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Albany lost to Shenendehowa at home by a 31-14 margin on Saturday. The defeat continues a trend for the Falcons in their meetings with the Plainsmen: they've now lost six in a row.

Columbia will have to contain Kahlil Beckett as he made an impact in Albany's last game. He rushed for 91 yards and one touchdown on only nine carries, and also threw for 31 yards and one TD. Beckett's longest rush was for an impressive 61 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.

Albany's loss dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Columbia, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-7.

Columbia strolled past Albany when the teams last played back in October of 2022 by a score of 27-8. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Blue Devils since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
