Soccer Recap: Monarch Comes Up Short

After flying high against Coral Glades on Friday, Monarch came back down to earth. The Knights fell just short of the Stoneman Douglas Eagles by a score of 1-0 on Tuesday. Monarch haven't had much luck with Stoneman Douglas recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Monarch's loss dropped their record down to 11-3-4. As for Stoneman Douglas, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-1-2 record this season.

Monarch has already played their next matchup, a 1-0 win against Olympic Heights on the 15th. Stoneman Douglas does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
