Baseball Recap: Palm Beach Gardens Comes Up Short

After flying high against Atlantic last Tuesday, Palm Beach Gardens came back down to earth. The Palm Beach Gardens Gators fell 8-3 to the Treasure Coast Titans on Thursday. If the Gators were looking for revenge after losing 14-1 to the Titans when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Ian Vertucci was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. Chase Turner also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.

Palm Beach Gardens has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season. Treasure Coast's win was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Palm Beach Gardens will square off against Okeechobee at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Treasure Coast, they will face off against Centennial at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
