Football Recap: Westerly Skates Past Woonsocket with Ease + How To Watch

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Portsmouth, Westerly was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They breezed past the Woonsocket Villa Novans to the tune of 48-7. The win continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their matchups with the Villa Novans: they've now won four in a row.

Landon Husereau produced another solid effort throwing for 230 yards and four TDs while completing 72.2% of his passes. Daniel Cummings was in the mix too, providing Westerly with two touchdowns.

Westerly didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. Cummings picked up that interception and then proceeded to rub salt in the wound by taking it back the other way for a touchdown. He got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Westerly now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Woonsocket, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Westerly will face off against Central at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Woonsocket, they will square off against Burrillville at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
