Softball Recap: Bishop O'Dowd Takes a Loss

Bishop O'Dowd and California squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Bishop O'Dowd had to settle for second. They lost 10-4 to the Grizzlies. The Dragons' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it three in a row.

Bishop O'Dowd saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Amaya Heard, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

Bishop O'Dowd's loss dropped their record down to 16-9. As for California, they have been performing well recently as they've won 12 of their last 15 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-8 record this season.

Bishop O'Dowd does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for California, they will welcome Foothill at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Grizzlies' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Falcons have averaged an impressive 7 runs per game this season.
