Hammond Central extended their winning streak to three games thanks to a huge performance from Marcus Browder. The Hammond Central Wolves blew past the Westville Blackhawks 63-42 on Thursday thanks in part to Browder, who went 10-for-18 en route to 23 points along with six boards and five steals. His evening made it 13 games in a row in which he has scored at least 15 points.

Another player making a difference was Semaj Davis, who posted nine points and seven rebounds. Those nine points gave him a new career-high.

Despite the loss, Westville had strong showings from Tyler Massengill, who went 6-for-8 to rack up 14 points and six boards, and Brian Jackson, who dropped a double-double with 21 points and 11 rebounds. That was a full 50% of Westville's points, marking the eighth time in a row Jackson has had more than a third of the team's points. Alex Massengill also deserves some recognition as he scored his first points of the season.

Hammond Central's win bumped their record up to 9-10. As for Westville, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-9.

Hammond Central has already played their next contest (against Chesterton), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Westville, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Morgan Township at 7:00 p.m. on February 21st. Westville is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 58.8 points per game this season.
