While Liberty won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-14, 25-21.
Emerson's loss dropped their record down to 15-19. As for Liberty, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 16 of their last 17 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 27-7 record this season.
