Basketball Game Preview: Hoquiam Grizzlies vs. Forks Spartans

Hoquiam hasn't had much luck against Forks recently, but that could start to change on Friday. Both will round out the year against one another at at 2:30 p.m.

Hoquiam is headed into Friday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Thursday. They took a hard 55-39 fall against Ocosta.

Meanwhile, Forks earned a 58-51 victory over Montesano on Friday. Given the Spartans' advantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 69th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 313th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Forks pushed their record up to 5-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.8 points per game. As for Hoquiam, their loss dropped their record down to 3-5.

Hoquiam might still be hurting after the 62-39 defeat they got from Forks when the teams last played last Monday. Can Hoquiam avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
