Baseball Game Preview: Lake Zurich Bears vs. Zion-Benton Zee-Bees

For the second straight game, Lake Zurich will face off against Zion-Benton. The Bears will challenge the Zee-Bees at 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday.

Lake Zurich will roll into the game after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up two runs on Saturday, then bounced right back against Zion-Benton on Monday. The Bears were the clear victors by a 13-2 margin over the Zee-Bees. The result was nothing new for the Bears, who have now won seven contests by seven runs or more so far this season.

For Zion-Benton's part, they saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Carl Harmon III, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one RBI.

Lake Zurich is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 12-7 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.1 runs on average over those games. As for Zion-Benton, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-15.
