Baseball Recap: Highland's Victory on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Six

Highland had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4.6 runs) and they went ahead and made it six on Tuesday. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Louisa-Muscatine Falcons. While the Huskies didn't have the best season last year (they finished 10-14), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Highland pushed their record up to 6-2 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.0 runs over those games. As for Louisa-Muscatine, their loss dropped their record down to 3-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Highland will venture away from home to face off against Pekin at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Louisa-Muscatine, they will head out to challenge West Liberty at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
