Soccer Recap: Claxton Comes Up Short

If Claxton was riding high fresh off their 10-0 takedown of McIntosh County Academy last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Claxton Tigers came up short against the Screven County Gamecocks on Friday, falling 8-1. Things were pretty much settled by the half as the Tigers were already down 4-0.

Claxton's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Screven County, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-1.

Claxton has already played their next game, a 2-1 victory against Metter on the 11th. As for Screven County, they also wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next match, a 4-2 win against Portal on the 11th.
