Volleyball Recap: Mishawaka Marian Comes Up Short

Mishawaka Marian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Elkhart Lions. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Lions this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in March.

Mishawaka Marian was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. The final score came out to 25-3, 25-23, 25-14.

Mishawaka Marian's loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Elkhart, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-13.

Mishawaka Marian wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 3-0 defeat against South Bend Saint Joseph on the 13th. As for Elkhart, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-2 loss against South Bend Riley on the 14th.
