After a string of three wins, Green Bay N.E.W. Lutheran's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They fell just short of the Florence Bobcats by a score of 2-1.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Green Bay N.E.W. Lutheran sadly dropped the once that decided the match. The final score came out to 25-17, 21-25, 16-14.

Their offense was headlined by Kiley Dhein and Paige Loock, who picked up eight kills apiece. They got some help from Olivia Kirchner and her 19 assists. Dhein also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Kiera Adams-Mcintosh, each putting up three.

Green Bay N.E.W. Lutheran's defeat dropped their record down to 21-18. As for Florence, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 26-12.

Green Bay N.E.W. Lutheran has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Manitowoc Lutheran on the 18th. As for Florence, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Sheboygan Christian on the 18th.
