Basketball Recap: Bishop Manogue Skates Past Mcqueen with Ease

Bishop Manogue posted their biggest win since December 6, 2024 on Friday. They blew past the McQueen Lancers 68-34. The Miners have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Lancers, too.

Liam Sorensen went supernova for Bishop Manogue, going 7 of 15 en route to 18 points and seven rebounds. Those seven boards gave Sorensen a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Eli Benna, who posted 11 points and six assists.

Bishop Manogue smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in seven consecutive matchups.

Despite the loss, McQueen still got an impressive performance from Alex Hancock, who had 11 points and four steals. Hancock continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played.

The victory got Bishop Manogue back to even at 7-7. As for McQueen, they moved to 9-5 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Bishop Manogue will face off against Spanish Springs at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Bishop Manogue is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 58.3 points per game this season. As for McQueen, they will square off against Damonte Ranch at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
