Basketball Recap: Vernon-Verona-Sherrill Snaps Seven-Game Streak of Losses at Home

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Central Valley Academy, Vernon-Verona-Sherrill was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They came out on top against the Whitesboro Warriors by a score of 52-43. The win was some much needed relief for the Red Devils as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

Vernon-Verona-Sherrill's victory ended a seven-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-10. As for Whitesboro, they dropped their record down to 4-5 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Vernon-Verona-Sherrill has already played their next contest (against Holland Patent), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Whitesboro will welcome Auburn at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
