Volleyball Recap: Omro Takes a Loss

Omro's tournament run continued when they took on Niagara on Saturday. The Foxes took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Badgers. The Foxes have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Payton Reiter paced Omro's offense, picking up seven kills. Reiter got some help from Kira Button and her eight assists.

Niagara's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Elesia Sweig, who had seven digs and five assists. Jaelyn Kleikamp also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

Omro's loss dropped their record down to 7-23. As for Niagara, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 10-6 record this season.

Omro wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Sturgeon Bay on the 4th. As for Niagara, they have also already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Two Rivers on the 4th.
