Chantilly and Centreville are an even 5-5 against one another since May of 2021, but likely not for long. The Chargers will head out on the road to face off against the Wildcats at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Meanwhile, Centreville has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 3.59 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Tuesday. They lost 11-5 to South Lakes. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Michael Gambone made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Ian Weber was another key player, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with three runs.

Chantilly's defeat dropped their record down to 10-8-1. As for Centreville, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-7 record this season.

Chantilly skirted past Centreville 6-5 in their previous matchup two weeks ago. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Chargers since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
