Soccer Recap: Gilbert Takes a Loss

After soaring to 11 goals the game before, Gilbert was a bit more limited in their matchup on Thursday. They came up short against the Lexington Wildcats, falling 5-0. While losing is never fun, Gilbert can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 40th, while Lexington are ranked ninth).

Gilbert's loss dropped their record down to 10-6. As for Lexington, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 14 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-2-2 record this season.

As of now, neither Gilbert nor Lexington have any future games scheduled.
