Football Game Preview: Merritt Island Mustangs vs. Eau Gallie Commodores + Official Tickets

Merritt Island hasn't had much luck against Eau Gallie recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Mustangs will square off against the Commodores at 7:30 p.m. After the two teams made easy work of their previous opponents, one won't be so lucky on Friday.

Merritt Island is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They claimed a resounding 41-13 victory over Titusville. The result was nothing new for the Mustangs, who have now won four games by 21 points or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, while Eau Gallie put up some points on Friday, the same can't be said for Tavares. The Commodores were the clear victors by a 26-0 margin over the Bulldogs. That's two games straight that the Commodores have won by exactly 26 points.

Eau Gallie has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 35.9 points over those games. As for Merritt Island, their victory bumped their record up to 7-4.

Merritt Island might still be hurting after the 48-22 loss they got from Eau Gallie in their previous meeting two weeks ago. Can the Mustangs avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
