Soccer Game Preview: Troy vs. Villa Park

The Troy Warriors will head out on the road to square off against the Villa Park Spartans at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. Troy's last six games have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Troy is likely headed into the contest with a focus on the second half, which is when things went downhill against Brea Olinda on Wednesday. Troy fell just short of Brea Olinda by a score of 2-1.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Villa Park). They walked away with a 4-2 win over Esperanza on Wednesday. The victory was nothing new for the Spartans as they're now sitting on six straight.

Troy's loss dropped their record down to 10-4-4. As for Villa Park, they pushed their record up to 12-2-3 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.
