Baseball Recap: Farina South Central Comes Up Short

Farina South Central fell victim to Newton and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They took a 5-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Eagles. The Cougars were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Eagles earlier this season, when they won 3-1.

Farina South Central saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Luke Shumate, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

Farina South Central now has a losing record of 11-12. As for Newton, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 16-14.

As of now, neither Farina South Central nor the Eagles have any future games scheduled.
