Soccer Recap: West Comes Up Short

West was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They came up short against the De Soto Wildcats, falling 9-0. While losing is never fun, West can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kansas soccer rankings (they are ranked 82nd, while De Soto are ranked 12th).

West's defeat dropped their record down to 4-10-2. As for De Soto, the win was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 14-1.

West does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for De Soto, they wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next contest, a 4-2 loss against Blue Valley North on the 15th.
