Soccer Game Preview: Grant Community vs. Prairie Ridge

The Grant Community Bulldogs will challenge the Prairie Ridge Wolves at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday.

Grant Community managed to keep up with Waukegan until halftime on Tuesday, but things quickly went downhill from there. Grant Community lost 4-0 to Waukegan. Having soared to a lofty five goals in the game before, Grant Community's shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Prairie Ridge). They were the clear victors by a 4-1 margin over Woodstock on Monday. It was an even better day for Ava Gertz as she scored three goals for her team.

Grant Community's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Prairie Ridge, they now have a winning record of 2-1-1.

Grant Community might still be hurting after the 4-0 defeat they got from Prairie Ridge when the teams last played back in March of 2022. Can the Bulldogs avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
