Volleyball Recap: Port Edwards Comes Up Short + How To Watch

If Port Edwards was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Northland Lutheran on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Blackhawks lost 3-0 to the Pittsville Panthers on Tuesday. The Blackhawks have struggled against the Panthers recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

While Port Edwards was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Pittsville's winning margin in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-7, 25-16, 26-24.

Breanna Ingram paced Port Edwards' offense, picking up five kills. Ingram got some help from Taylin McDonald and her six assists.

Port Edwards' defeat dropped their record down to 6-11. As for Pittsville, they moved to 9-16 with that win, which also ended their three-match losing streak.

Port Edwards will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Pacelli at 7:00 p.m. on the 14th. As for Pittsville, they will face off against Assumption at 7:00 p.m. on the 9th.
