Volleyball Recap: Port Edwards Comes Up Short + How To Watch

After flying high against Northland Lutheran on Monday, Port Edwards came back down to earth. The Blackhawks lost 3-0 to the Pittsville Panthers on Tuesday. The Blackhawks haven't had much luck with the Panthers recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

While Port Edwards was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Pittsville's winning margin in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-7, 25-16, 26-24.

Breanna Ingram paced Port Edwards' offense, picking up five kills. Ingram got some help from Taylin McDonald and her six assists.

Port Edwards' defeat dropped their record down to 6-11. As for Pittsville, their victory bumped their record up to 11-17.

Port Edwards has already played their next match, a 3-1 loss against Tri-County on the 7th. As for Pittsville, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-1 win against Assumption on the 9th.
