Basketball Recap: Cranston West Extends Home Winning Streak to Four

Cranston West extended their home winning streak to four games dating back to last season thanks to a huge performance from Saniyya Chase. The Cranston West Falcons blew past the Cranston East Thunderbolts 59-20 on Saturday thanks in part to Chase, who posted six points along with 11 boards and seven steals. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 2.5 blocks per game.

The team also got some help courtesy of Madeleine Marques, who put up eight points and three steals. She continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played.

Cranston West's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Cranston East, they are on a nine-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-7.

Cranston West will welcome North Kingstown at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Cranston East, they will head out on the road to square off against Coventry at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
