Homer is 9-1 against Mexico since January of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Homer Trojans will face off against the Mexico Tigers at 6:40 p.m. Homer will be strutting in after a win while Mexico will be coming in after a loss.

Homer took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They snuck past Solvay with a 57-53 victory.

Meanwhile, Mexico's game on Saturday was all tied up 22-22 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. The match between them and Cortland didn't end well, with Mexico falling 60-46. While the Tigers didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Purple Tigers 16-9 in the first quarter.

Homer's win bumped their record up to 3-8. As for Mexico, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-5.

Homer took their victory against Mexico when the teams last played back in February of 2024 by a conclusive 75-51. The rematch might be a little tougher for Homer since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
