Basketball Game Preview: LaGrange Gators vs. Midland Rebels

The LaGrange Gators are taking a road trip to square off against the Midland Rebels at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

LaGrange will head into Friday's contest out to bounce back: they won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Friday. They were dealt a 57-23 loss at the hands of Barbe. While losing is never fun, the Gators can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 110th, while the Buccaneers are ranked ninth).

Meanwhile, Midland entered their tilt with Lake Arthur on Friday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They took down the Tigers 60-42.

Midland has also been performing well recently as they've won 12 of their last 15 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 19-8 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.1 points per game. As for LaGrange, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-8.
