Baseball Recap: Bolles Triumphs

Bolles was not the first on the board on Tuesday, but they got there more often. They came out on top against the Middleburg Broncos by a score of 9-4.

Zeke Ansley tossed a big game, pitching five innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Jackson Geist, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 3-for-4. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in March. Gray McCarthy was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.

Bolles' victory bumped their record up to 13-6. As for Middleburg, they dropped their record down to 9-12 with the defeat, which was their eighth straight at home.

Coming up, Bolles will welcome Bartram Trail at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Middleburg, they will head out on the road to face off against St. Augustine at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
