            Softball Recap: Ocean View Christian Patriots vs. Chula Vista Learning Community Charter Cobras        
        
		
        
        
            Ocean View Christian extended their losing streak  to three  on Thursday, dropping their season record down to 4-7 in the process. They fell  11-6 to the Chula Vista Learning Community Charter Cobras. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cobras this season, as they also lost their prior matchup  32-1  back in April.
  Della Sandoval made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and  went a perfect 4-for-4 with one  home run, three  runs,  and two  doubles.
As for Chula Vista Learning Community Charter, they have  been performing  well recently as they've  won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-10 record  this season. 11 seems to be a good number for they as the  team scooped up a  victory with the same number of  runs in their previous game.
On Chula Vista Learning Community Charter's side,  Adilynn Moreno made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound,   striking out ten batters over  seven innings while giving up just one earned  (and five unearned) runs off   five  hits. Moreno has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't  tossed less than six  strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate,  getting on base  in two of her five plate appearances with two  stolen bases and two  runs.
 In other batting news,  Giuliana Ramos was a standout: she got on base  in all four of her plate appearances with three  runs and one  RBI. Those  three  runs gave  her a new career-high.  Alana Olivas was another key player,  going 3-for-5 with two  runs, one  triple,  and one  stolen base.
 We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Ocean View Christian is set to  challenge  their familiar foe Bayfront Charter  at 3:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Chula Vista Learning Community Charter will  face off against  rival Liberty Charter  at 4:00  p.m.  on Tuesday.
