Columbia won the last time they faced West Essex and things went their way on Saturday too. The Cougars were the clear victors by a 9-1 margin over the Knights. Considering the Cougars have won six matches by more than six runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Columbia's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-1. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.3 runs on average over those games. As for West Essex, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season.

Columbia will have a chance to go back-to-back against West Essex: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
