 Salem and Corinth are an even 3-3 against one another  since May of 2015, but likely not for long. The Salem Generals will be playing at home against the Corinth Riverhawks at 4:30  p.m.  on Wednesday. Both teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
 Salem is hoping to deliver their fans another blowout  on Wednesday, just like they did against Loudonville Christian (and have done all season long). Everything went Salem's way against Loudonville Christian on Tuesday as Salem made off with  a  16-6 victory. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for Salem considering their two-run performance the  contest before.
 The team  relied heavily on  Brayton Cary, who  scored four  runs and  stole three bases while going 2-for-4.  Sawyer Saddlemire was another key contributor,  scoring three  runs and  stealing a base while  getting on base  in four of his five plate appearances.
 Meanwhile, Corinth had to endure  a  three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They blew past Berlin/New Lebanon 13-3. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for Corinth considering their one-run performance the  game before.
  Ethan Williams looked comfortable as he  pitched four innings while giving up just one earned  (and two unearned) runs off   one  hit.
 On the hitting side,  Kaden Wright was a standout: he went 2-for-3 with a  home run, three  runs,  and four  RBI. Another player making a difference was  Sam Tangora, who  scored two  runs and  stole two bases while going 2-for-3.
 Salem is  on a roll lately: they've  won five of their last six matches,  which provided a massive bump to their 8-6 record  this season. As for Corinth, their win bumped their record up to an identical 8-6.
 Salem was able to grind out a solid  victory over Corinth in their previous meeting  on Wednesday, winning  4-0. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was  Corinth's  Eddie McGuire, who   didn't allow a single  earned run while striking out eight over seven innings pitched.
