Basketball Recap: Hug Comes Up Short

Hug lost against North Valleys two weeks ago, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Hug Hawks were dealt a 57-29 defeat at the hands of the North Valleys Panthers. The Hawks were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 47-12.

Ivy Williams continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for North Valleys, dropping a double-double with 20 points and 11 boards. Williams is crushing it when it comes to rebounds: she's pulled down at least eight every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Alexys DeCremer, who went 6-for-9 en route to 13 points in addition to six boards and five assists.

Hug's loss dropped their record down to 10-10. As for North Valleys, they pushed their record up to 20-4 with the win, which was their 17th straight at home dating back to last season.

Hug wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 42-26 victory against Truckee on the 7th. As for North Valleys, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 63-19 win against Wooster on the 7th.
