Basketball Recap: New Salem Comes Up Short

New Salem was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They fell 59-52 to the White Shield Warriors. That's two games in a row now that the Holsteins have lost by exactly seven points.

New Salem's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for White Shield, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-1.

New Salem will head out to take on Richardton-Taylor at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for White Shield, they will face off against Trinity Christian at 6:30 p.m. on January 11th. White Shield knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past six matchups -- so hopefully Trinity Christian likes a good challenge.
