Basketball Recap: Trinity Presbyterian Takes a Loss

Trinity Presbyterian's tournament run continued when they took on Glenwood on Saturday. The Wildcats fell just short of the Gators by a score of 59-56. That's two games in a row now that the Wildcats have lost by exactly three points.

Glenwood found their leader in freshman Braylen Alexander, who dropped a double-double with 28 points and 12 boards. That makes it 11 consecutive games in which Alexander has scored at least a third of the Gators' points. Caleb Phillips was another key player, shooting 63% from the field en route to 10 points and five rebounds.

Trinity Presbyterian's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Glenwood, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-7.

Trinity Presbyterian will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Brewbaker Tech at 3:45 p.m. on January 2, 2026. As for Glenwood, they have already played their next matchup, a 68-50 victory against Wadley on the 22nd.
