Soccer Game Preview: Stevens Point vs. D.C. Everest

The Stevens Point Panthers will challenge the D.C. Everest Evergreens at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

While Stevens Point's win against Wisconsin Rapids Lincoln wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Panthers never let the Red Raiders get on the board and left with a 1-0 victory on Thursday. The score was all tied up 0-0 at the break, but Stevens Point were the better team in the second half.

Meanwhile, after a string of eight wins, D.C. Everest's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of Eau Claire Memorial.

D.C. Everest's defeat dropped their record down to 8-6. As for Stevens Point, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-5 record this season.
