Basketball Recap: Kamiya Moore Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Redan

Miller Grove's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They enjoyed a cozy 49-34 win over the Redan Raiders. This was payback for the Wolverines, who suffered a 46-40 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Miller Grove got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Kamiya Moore out in front who went 6 for 15 on her way to 14 points in addition to six assists and five boards. The dominant performance gave Moore a new career-high in assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Nariah Cato, who posted 11 points and three steals.

Miller Grove now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Redan, their loss dropped their record down to 1-8.

Miller Grove will face off against Salem at 6:00 p.m. on January 14th. Miller Grove is facing Salem at the right time seeing as Salem is stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Redan, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 51-13 defeat against Social Circle on the 8th.
