Softball Recap: Merkel Comes Up Short

Merkel made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Jim Ned, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Badgers fell just short of the Indians by a score of 3-1 on Friday. The Badgers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Merkel saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Aubrey Kalen, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

Merkel's loss dropped their record down to 20-5-1. As for Jim Ned, the win was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 21-4.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Indians beat Merkel by a score of 6-3 on Tuesday.
