Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask West Orange). They claimed a resounding 67-31 win over the Newark Academy Minutemen. The victory was nothing new for the Mountaineers as they're now sitting on three straight.

Anaya Karriem was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 24 points and 11 rebounds. She continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Rhyan Watt, who posted 14 points and three steals.

West Orange pushed their record up to 9-3 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.3 points per game. As for Newark Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-5.

West Orange will take on Paramus Catholic on Saturday. Newark Academy has already played their next match (against KIPP Newark Lab), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
