Baseball Recap: Presidio Snaps Four-Game Streak of Wins at Home

Presidio dropped their record down to 6-13 on Friday, which also ended the team's four-game streak of wins at home. They fell 6-1 to the Anthony Wildcats. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-9 on April 4th.

As for Anthony, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-12-1. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.3 runs over those games.

For Anthony's part, Lorenzo Orozco made a splash while hitting and pitching. He tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off four hits. Orozco was also big at the plate, getting on base in two of his four plate appearances with three stolen bases and one run.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Jared Ortiz, who went 3-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. That double marked the first that he has hit this season. Josue Moncayo was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

As of now, neither Presidio nor Anthony have any future games scheduled.
