Softball Recap: Murdock Takes a Loss

Murdock managed to slip by Montachusett RVT the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Blue Devils came up short against the Bulldogs on Tuesday, falling 20-4. The Blue Devils were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Bulldogs earlier this season, when they won 3-2.

Madelyn Santos was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one triple and two RBI. Kylieann Brown also deserves some recognition as she scored her first run of the season.

Murdock dropped their record down to 2-14 with the loss, which was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Montachusett RVT, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-4.

Coming up, Murdock will be playing at home against Narragansett Regional at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Blue Devils' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Warriors have averaged an impressive 6.7 runs per game this season. As for Montachusett RVT, they will head out to challenge Bartlett at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
