Soccer Recap: Woodruff Comes Up Short

Woodruff was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 5-3 to the Chapman Panthers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Chapman this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 on April 1st.

Woodruff hit Chapman with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Kaelyn Glass, Peyton Cox, and Nallely Perez.

Woodruff's loss dropped their record down to 6-11. As for Chapman, they pushed their record up to 7-5 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Woodruff will take on rival Union County at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Chapman is set to challenge their familiar foe Broome at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
