Recap: Southwestern Warriors vs. Meade County Green Waves        
        
		
            
 After having lost a blowout in their  previous game against Pikeville, the Southwestern Warriors were happy to have found some success  on Saturday. They snuck past Meade County with a  59-53 win. With that  win, Southwestern brought their scoring average up to 50.1  points per game.
 Southwestern got their  win on the backs of several key players, but it was  Kinsley Molden out in front who  scored 24 points along with nine  rebounds. That makes it seven consecutive games in which  Molden has scored at least 25% of Southwestern's points.  Payton  Acey was another key contributor,  scoring 16 points along with nine  rebounds.
 When it comes to explaining why Meade County lost, one person who can't be blamed is  Peyton Bradley. Despite the final result, she  scored 23 points along with eight  rebounds. The  contest was  Bradley's 12th in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was  Paige Medley, who  scored 17 points along with five  rebounds.
 Southwestern has  been performing  well recently as they've  won four of their last five matches,  which provided a nice bump to their 7-5 record this season. As for Meade County,  this is  the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 9-4.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Southwestern and Wayne County will face off  at 7:30  p.m.  on January 4th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
