Baseball Recap: Honesdale Finds Home Field Redemption Against Western Wayne

There's no place like home for Honesdale, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Western Wayne Wildcats on Monday, sneaking past 2-0. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 10-4 back in April.

The result came thanks to Brody Patrisso's shutout, as he gave up just a hit. Honesdale is 2-1 when Patrisso allows three or fewer hits, but 5-10 otherwise.

On the hitting side, Honesdale saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Nick Martin, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run. That's the most hits Martin has posted since back in April.

With the win, Honesdale broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 7-11. As for Western Wayne, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-12.
